Keith A. Schmitz, EA
Owner

Keith A. Schmitz is the Owner of Badger Bookkeeping & Tax Service. He graduated from St. Mary’s University in 1994, and went to work for CPA's in the corporate world. After spending 13 years at some of San Antonio’s largest employers, including USAA, NuStar Energy, and Clear Channel, he started Badger Bookkeeping in November 2006. In January 2008, he purchased W.H. Bickers’ tax and bookkeeping practice, and Badger Bookkeeping & Tax Service was born.

Keith continues his education today by attending seminars to maintain his professional skills. He is a member of the National Association of Enrolled Agents (state and local affiliates) and is President of the San Antonio Northwest Rotary Cluband the Jalapeño Chapter of the Texas Society of Enrolled Agents. He has been an enrolled agent with the Internal Revenue Service since 2008.

Keith is a native Wisconsinite (but San Antonio is home now) and huge sports fan. He counts the Wisconsin Badgers, Green Bay Packers, Milwaukee Brewers, University of the Incarnate Word (UIW) Cardinals, San Antonio Spurs, San Antonio Silver Stars, San Antonio Rampage, and Colorado Avalanche among his favorite teams.

W.H. Bickers
Founder

W.H. Bickers graduated from Texas Tech University in 1950. After 20 year associations with oil companies, he formed a one-man income tax practice in 1971. Over the next 37 years, he grew the office into a successful, well-staffed bookkeeping and income tax service provider, which he sold to Keith A. Schmitz in January 2008.

Mr. Bickers was a Charter Member of the North San Antonio Chamber of Commerce and San Antonio Northeast Rotary Club. He became an enrolled agent with the Internal Revenue Service in 1973.

Mr. Bickers passed away in November 2009.
